The Power and the Glory

Power and Glory Cross 1
This last Sunday Pastor Toby began his brand new Sunday morning sermon series entitled The Power and the Glory: The Gospel of God in the Book of Romans. We are excited about this new series, and believe that God has so much in store for us as we move through this New Testament letter. We hope that in the coming weeks and months your own life with Christ will be nourished as we feast together on the rich substance of this book.

God Revealed: The Bible

Reading the Bible

What is the Bible? Why is it called the Word of God? What should be its role in our lives? All of these questions are explored in this first article in a new series on the basics of Christian doctrine which will be featured here over the coming weeks and months.

Prayer Letter October/November

Letter
I knew that things had not been going as I had hoped, but I didn’t perceive the extent to which Satan was behind the problems until the end of last week. We have held monthly Bible Storying Training Sessions since July of this year. Each time, we had some problems with the participants—either forgetting to come to the sessions or not coming to the sessions due to other commitments, etc. However, this past week of Storying Training was much more difficult. The week began with a new participant who seemed excited about the training. But, due to the fact that she is expecting a baby—she became very ill in the first session and couldn’t participate the rest of the week. I was disappointed, but considered this normal. Then, on two different days, I waited for several other participants to come to the training sessions—only to find out that they were participating in a march to get rid of the authorities in town. By this time, I was becoming discouraged.
