From the earliest days of the church in the New Testament, deacons have been set apart to serve local churches. Deacons are men who are elected by our local church for the specific ministry of servant leadership. The word “deacon” refers to this ministry of service, and the men who serve FBC Henryville  as deacons are living examples of godly men seeking to serve Christ and follow his example. Deacons serve the church by ministering to families within our congregation, teaching Bible studies, and working with others for the regular upkeep of the church facilities. They provide leadership by working alongside the pastoral staff to set the vision for our congregation and by equipping members of the church for active service within our church and community. The men currently serving as deacons are:
