Glorifying God, Proclaiming the Gospel, Transforming Lives

The Academic World

Hello everyone!  I hope that your doing good.  I’ve been so busy with finishing school, writing sermons, and deer hunting that I’ve not been writing to many blogs these days.  I have one more week of school and then I’ll be able to breath again.  I really miss visiting everyone, having plenty of time to prepare a sermon, and reading the books I want.  Just one more week.  I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.  But to be honest, I really enjoy school.  I love the academic setting and always knowing what’s going on in the theological world.  Yesterday I sat in on a panel discussion about whether or not the multi-site church is biblical.  Then went to Systematic class and talked about penal substitution.  After Theology class I went and listened to Stephen J. Nichols deliver the Gheens Lectures, “Cultivating the Garden: Theology as Image-Bearing,”. Don’t be jealous, that’s sinful.

Well it is time for me to head back to school for another fun filled day.  I hope everyone is enjoying this weather.  Be praying for my wife.  She is so excited about going to the Bahamas that I’m scared she gonna have a heart attack or stroke.  I’ll see you all tonight at the business meeting.  To God be the Glory for the great things He has done.

Your pastor,

Toby Jenkins
