I just got through praying with a man named Cole. Right after I got saved God brought Cole into my life. He was a part of the youth group that was in the Church where I got saved. He is older now and married. His father died a few days ago. His dad’s name was Reggie. Reggie was a man who loved Christ. Which is the reason I’m posting this story under theology. Death is a horrible thing to the world. Grown men fear death like children fear the dark, but Christians don’t have to fear death, Because we have a theology to deal with it. We know that death is only the sable coated butler that leads us into the presence of God. As Christians, we know that our love ones are in a better place. A place that is too good for us to understand. The Lord says, eye hath not seen, nor has ear heard, neither has entered into the mind of man the things that God has prepared for those that love Him. Christ is the theology that deals with death. Christ has conquered death for those who believe. Though they are dead yet shall they live. This is because Christ died in our place and appeased the wrath of the Father. The theological term for this is “propitiation”. Jesus bore our wrath, our sin, our guilt, and shame. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, there is just something about that name.
